The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to locate your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with future models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We like the claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors better than the vibrating pads.
The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves on.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, robot vacuum mops wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
